The Research Centre for English Language and Literature (RCELL) serves as a collaborative educational platform that engages editors, reviewers, and scholars from universities and research institutions in India and abroad. Since our establishment in 2012, we have remained committed to supporting rigorous peer-reviewed research, critical inquiry, and ethical publishing practices.

The Criterion: An International Journal in English
The Criterion is a peer-reviewed international journal devoted to research in English studies, literary criticism, cultural studies, linguistics, and allied areas. The journal has maintained continuous publication since 2010, establishing itself as a trusted platform for scholarly exchange in the humanities.

Established in 2012, Galaxy IMRJ serves researchers from diverse academic fields seeking a rigorous yet accessible publication venue.

Our Journey: A Decade of Scholarly Publishing
The Criterion Founded
Launched The Criterion: An International Journal in English to provide an affordable, high-quality platform for scholars in English studies. The journal’s commitment to open access and academic excellence attracted contributors from across India and internationally.
RCELL Established & Galaxy IMRJ Launched
Formalized the Research Centre for English Language and Literature (RCELL) as an independent academic publishing initiative. Expanded our mission by launching Galaxy: International Multidisciplinary Research Journal, extending quality peer-reviewed publishing beyond literature to all academic disciplines.
International Recognition
Both journals achieved significant indexing milestones, being included in MLA International Directory, Google Scholar, and major international academic databases. Expanded editorial board to include scholars from multiple countries.
Digital Transformation
Enhanced digital infrastructure, improved manuscript management systems, and strengthened our commitment to open access principles. Maintained uninterrupted publication through global challenges.
DOI Integration
Integrated Crossref Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) for all research articles, ensuring permanent citation stability and enhanced discoverability. The Criterion began DOI assignment in October 2025; Galaxy IMRJ in November 2025.
Continued Growth
The Criterion celebrates 17 years of continuous publication; Galaxy IMRJ reaches 14 years. Both journals maintain rigorous standards while expanding global reach and impact. Currently reconstituting editorial boards to reflect evolving scholarship.
